We pride ourselves on the amount of local high school students we have financially aided since 1978. Scholarships are awarded by Ocean View Memorial Foundation (OVMF) to students based on merit and need.
How to Qualify
Qualified applicants are required to live east of the Intracoastal Waterway, north to the North Carolina state line, and south to Murrells Inlet in the area of Brookgreen Gardens.
Applicants living within these geographic boundaries, who are graduating from high school, are invited to seek financial aid to continue their education at a college or university of their choice through our scholarship program. Our scholarships are designed to help deserving students with the high-cost burden of higher education, including tuition, fees, books, and room and board.
Application Process
Our board carefully reviews each applicant based on merit, taking into consideration academic and extracurricular achievements, GPA, test scores, athletic or artistic accomplishments, and community service. OVMF scholarship recipients are high school seniors that meet our specific eligibility criteria.
OVMF also awards scholarships based on financial need. We will factor in a student’s family income, assets, and other circumstances that may impact your ability to pay for college when considering our eligibility decision.
